TOURS OF SENEGAL - SENEGAL TOUR : 8-DAY DJOLOF TOUR

DAY 1 : DAKAR
Arrival at Dakar Airport, welcome, assistance and transfer to your hotel in Dakar. Overnight.

DAY 2 : DAKAR / SALY
Breakfast in hotel and departure for a tour of Goree Island, monument of the world cultural patrimony. Visit the Slave House and listen to a lecture delivered by the curator, visit the Auction Block, the ethnographic Museum, the Fort and the Memorial of Goree.
Lunch in a typical restaurant of Goree. Afternoon departure for the Small Coast, visiting the baobab forest of Sindia, the fishermen town of Mbour (where you will attend to the arrival of the big game fishing).
Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Saly.

DAY 3 : SALY / KAOLACK / ZIGUINCHOR
Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Ziguinchor capital town of Casamance. On the way visit of Kaolack and its famous market rich of medicinal herbs and handicraft. Lunch will be taken in Kaolack and then you will proceed visiting villages on your way to Ziguinchor where you will arrive in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Ziguinchor.

DAY 4 : ZIGUINCHOR / SELETI / ENAMPORE / ZIGUINCHOR
Breakfast in hotel. This morning you will take a city tour of Ziguinchor, visiting its market the handicraft village, the popular districts so colourful and alive. You will have lunch at ‘’Le Bombolong’’ restaurant and enjoy the traditional food of Casamance. In the afternoon you will visit Seleti and Enampore, two villages famous for their architecture styles. This will also be an opportunity to meet the Diola ethnic group.
Dinner and overnight in Ziguinchor.

DAY 5 : ZIGUINCHOR / KAFOUNTINE
Breakfast in hotel. Departure for the lower Casamance. Here you will meet the most authentic traditions of the region. Here prevails animism as main religion, nature and man mingle and reality is based on myths. You will meet traditional chiefs of the Mandingo ethnic groups. Lunch in Ziguinchor. Afternoon departure for Kafountine (Western Casamance) visiting the traditional villages of Baila, Diouloulou and Badiana where you will stop for a meeting, with the rural women organizations so committed in promoting business towards women.
Dinner and overnight in Kafountine on the Atlantic Ocean.

DAY 6 : KAFOUNTINE / BANJUL
Breakfast in hotel. Morning free for your relax. Typical lunch in Kafountine and afternoon departure for Banjul capital city of Gambia. Visit of Banjul, dinner and overnight in Banjul.

DAY 7 : BANJUL / JUFFUREH / DAKAR
Departure for Dakar via the famous village of Juffureh and other Mandigo villages that you will visit on your way. Lunch will be taken in Toubacouta. Arrival in Dakar late in the afternoon.
Dinner in a typical restaurant . Overnight .

DAY 8 : DAKAR (City Tour and shopping)
Breakfast in hotel. Morning visit of the town of Dakar, its Great Mosque, the President’s Palace and the Parliament House. Visit the picturesque Medina district, the Fann residential area and the University.
Stop at the Millennium Gate. Shopping at Soumbedioune craft.
